This program is designed for upper elementary students (grades 3–5) who can read but struggle to understand what they are reading.
In 3rd grade and beyond, students are expected to move from simply reading words to understanding, explaining, and thinking about text across all subjects. When comprehension is weak, it affects reading, writing, and overall academic performance.
This small group intensive focuses on helping students:
understand what they read
answer questions with clarity and confidence
think through text instead of guessing
build stronger reading habits and strategies
Students will meet 2 times per week in a structured, supportive small group setting. Each session is designed to target comprehension skills through guided practice, discussion, and feedback.
