About the Program
I believe every child can grow as a reader when they are given the right support, instruction, and encouragement.
In my tutoring sessions, students work in small groups to strengthen their reading skills, including comprehension, vocabulary, and written responses (ECR/SCR). The focus is on helping students truly understand what they read—not just get through the text.
Each session is structured and focused. I identify areas where students may be struggling and provide clear, step-by-step instruction so they can practice skills and apply them with confidence.
Students learn how to break down grade-level texts, answer questions using evidence, and think critically about what they read. As their understanding improves, their confidence grows and reading becomes less overwhelming.
This program is designed to help students become stronger, more confident readers who are prepared for the next grade level.

Reading comprehension (understanding fiction & nonfiction texts)
Vocabulary development (using context clues & word meaning)
Written responses (ECR/SCR using text evidence)
Critical thinking skills (analyzing and explaining ideas in text)
Confidence & motivation
Students receive structured, step-by-step instruction while also learning how to think independently, explain their answers, and take ownership of their learning.
We understand that summer schedules change. Families can enroll weekly.

Tuition is due weekly and must be paid in advance.
Payments are due by Monday at 5:00 p.m. for the upcoming week.
Payment methods are as follows: debit/credit card and automatic bank transfer. NO CHECKS or CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Families may choose Tuesday or Thursday sessions, or select both days for added support.
Program Cancellations/Refunds
All payments are non-refundable due to limited enrollment.
If I cancel a session, families will receive a credit or refund.
Refunds are not provided for missed sessions, illness, scheduling conflicts, or early withdrawal.
